The short version: Endpoint Alpha's five locked nodes read the network state, room volume, device orientation, and volume-key presses — entirely on your device, in real time, for gameplay only. The app makes no network requests of any kind: this isn't just a privacy promise, it's a design constraint, since an app that phones home isn't air-gapped. Nothing is recorded, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account to create. This page exists to be precise about that, not to walk it back in the fine print.
Scope
This policy covers two things: the Endpoint Alpha iOS app, and this website (endpointalpha.pfdatastack.com). It's published by PF DataStack, an independent software studio.
What the app does with your device's sensors
Endpoint Alpha has no on-screen puzzles and no camera or biometric mechanics at all — every node reads one of four things:
- Network state — the app checks whether any interface (Wi-Fi, cellular) can currently carry traffic, as a puzzle condition. It makes zero network requests of its own; there's nothing installed here for a connection to be used for.
- Microphone — one node measures how loud the room is. The signal is metered and thrown away in the same breath: nothing is written to disk, nothing is stored, nothing is sent anywhere. There is nowhere for it to be sent to.
- Motion & orientation (accelerometer/gyroscope) — read continuously while the app is open, to detect whether the device is face-down. Discarded the instant it's read; nothing is logged.
- Volume button presses — one node reads the sequence and timing of volume-key presses as a puzzle input, the same way any app reads a button tap. This isn't personal data in any sense — it's a hardware signal, not audio or biometric information.
Endpoint Alpha does not use the camera, Face ID, Touch ID, or any biometric system, in any capacity.
What we don't do
- No account creation, no login, no email collection inside the app.
- No cloud save — your progress lives only in local device storage (iOS's standard app-preferences store), and nowhere else.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs embedded in the app itself.
- No advertising, no ad networks, no third-party trackers of any kind inside the app.
- No camera, no Face ID, no Touch ID, no biometric data of any kind.
- Nothing described above is ever sold, shared, or transmitted to PF DataStack or anyone else — the app has no network code capable of transmitting anything in the first place.
This website
endpointalpha.pfdatastack.com uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to see aggregate visit counts — how many people viewed the page, roughly where from, nothing more. It's cookie-free and doesn't fingerprint or track you across other sites. There are no forms on this site, so no personal information is ever submitted to it.
App Store purchases
If you download Endpoint Alpha, that transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple's own privacy policy governs any payment or account information involved in that process — we never see or receive it.
Children's privacy
Endpoint Alpha isn't directed at children under 13. Since the app collects no personal data from anyone regardless of age, there's nothing collected from children either.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future update adds a feature that does transmit data — this page will be updated first, with a new "last updated" date above, before that feature ships.
